Installation

Windows
NSIS installer. It includes SumatraPDF for batch printing and adds its folder, which contains the cee command, to the user's PATH (open a new terminal after installing).
macOS
Disk image: drag ceelab into the Applications folder.
Linux
.deb package: sudo dpkg -i …, then the application appears in the menus. The cee command is installed in /usr/bin.

Included in the installer

  • The Typst rendering engine: nothing else to install.
  • The cee command, alongside the application.
  • The fonts used by the templates.

Updating

  • Close ceelab before installing a new version.
  • Open it once before using cee, scheduled tasks included: it is the application that updates the database.
  • Going back to an earlier version is not supported: keep a backup from before the update.
